Keeping Kids Safe – Hobart – 24 & 25 September 2019

24 September 2019

The majority of sexually abusive behaviour involving children is carried out by people within the child’s circle of family and friends. Reports of this abuse being carried out by other children and young people is on the increase, creating new challenges for those of us working with children.

In this workshop we will describe the building blocks of effective communication skills integral to the development of protective behaviours. Good communication is the vital link between the inner world of children and their parents, carers and support workers. When we create positive relationships with children through effective communication the likelihood of their being abused decreases and opportunities to disclose are increased.

This 12 hour workshop is endorsed by the Australian Association of Social Workers.

Cost: $380 early bird, $420 full price (incl. GST)
Early bird ends September 6th

Visit SASS Website for information or to register.
