  • Come & Try Golf – Hobart TAS – 17 September 2018

    Empower Golf Australia is proud to announce the launch of Tasmania’s first Empower Golf Hub at Tasmania Golf Club.

    On the day they will also host a Come and Try Golf clinic, run by some of Australia’s leading disability golf professionals. The clinic will be a ideal way to introduce new people to golf for the first time, or reintroduce former players to the game.

  • New Horizons Southern ‘Come-Try’ Day, Saturday 22nd September

    From 11am-2pm at the Southern Netball & Sports Centre in Newtown, New Horizons will be holding a ‘Come-Try’ day launch for potential new participants.
    If you know people with disability (of all ages) in the Hobart region that would like to learn more about our future programs, as well as to get active on the day, please do encourage them to come along.

  • Complex Trauma Information Session - 6 September 2018 - Sandy Bay

    Northern Early Years Reference Group and Partners, B4 Early Years Coalition and the University of Tasmania are running a session on the topic of Complex Trauma.

    Attendees will hear from a panel of expert practitioners and gain valuable insights into trauma-informed practice here in Tasmania. Presenters will share their experiences, understanding, and practices in exploring ways to help and support children who have experienced trauma.

  • K-Sport Roster for Chidlren with physical disABILITIES - September 2018

    The Kids Sport Program (K Sport) gives children with physical disABILITIES the opportunity to participate in sport at their skill level and with their peers.

    The children will have the opportunity to select what sport and recreation activities they would like to try. There will be opportunities for parents to participate in different activities. Parents are also encouraged the join in with the children.
