  • Information Event: Not happy with a NDIS Decision? June 2018

    Advocacy Tasmania and Legal Aid Tasmania are running events for anyone who wants to learn more about review and complaint processes regarding NDIS. They will provide information about what options you have if you are not happy with a decision the NDIS has made, either about getting access to the scheme or regarding what supports are funded in your plan.   • NDS Training: Understanding Autism (Launceston & Ulverstone) - April 2018

    This workshop is aimed at anyone who works alongside or supports people who are on the Autism Spectrum, this could include disability support workers, team leaders and supervisors.

    The workshop will be facilitated by Autism Tasmania Inc., with aims to broaden your knowledge of Autism through participation in engaging learning activities including presentations and discussions with adults on the Autism spectrum.

  • NDS Training: Providing Mental Health First Aid to People with Intellectual Disability (9/4 - 4/5/18)

    Mental health first aid is the help provided to a person who is developing a mental health problem, experiencing a worsening of a mental health problem, or in a mental health crisis. The first aid is given until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves.

    This program is designed to provide initial support to adults with an intellectual disability and an emerging mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis.

  • Bush Adventures Autumn Program 2018 - April/May

    Hobart City Council have released their Bush Adventures Autumn Program 2018 for children aged 2- 10.

    This autumn join Bush Adventures as we search for fungi, uncovering a wonderful world of shapes, form and colour. It's also the season for "Nature Play Week" (April 11-22).

  • PlayConnect

    For 0-6 year olds who may have Autism Spectrum Disorder characteristics, development delay in communication and social skills and/or behavioural and sensory issues.
    When – Friday mornings at 10am - 11.30am (During school terms) Where - Penguin Playgroup Building, 46 Main Road, Penguin Who - 0-6yrs, No diagnosis required
