The two main ways people get somewhere to live are through renting or buying. Sometimes, and for many reasons, people become homeless and require emergency or crisis housing. In Tasmania, the Australian and state governments fund some community services to help when this happens. If you are homeless contact trusted people in your network of support and let them know.
