Just Move! Free Exercise Program

Just Move (previously Up and About) is an exercise program for participants with lived experience of mental ill-health.

A Richmond Fellowship initiative, Just Move! is a structured exercise program run by Exercise Physiologists and Personal Trainers in a private gym facility to allow for maximum privacy and safety of all participants.  The sessions run once a week for one hour and consist of circuit-based movements that will be tailored to suit all ability levels.

Support workers, family members and case managers are encouraged to attend the sessions with the participants.  Once the participants are enrolled in the program they will receive support from the program manager which includes health coaching and regular check-ins to see how they are finding the exercise and to see if they have any concerns.

The program is FREE to any participant who is experiencing mental ill-health; all that is required a referral form from a GP, case manager, family member or psychologist.

The program will run for 12 weeks from January though until March at which time it will transition into an exercise program for participants who have NDIS funding with some additional spaces for those in the process of receiving funding.
