Talking Café is an opportunity for people to catchup for a cuppa, chat and to find out what is happening in the area. Everyone is welcome – come along and say hi!

They are hosted by volunteers and are casual.

It is also a great opportunity for local services to pop in and catch up with people.

A recent study found that 32% of people who lived alone scored highly on the UCLA loneliness scale. Loneliness has been recognised as a public health issue for older people by the World Health Organisation.

Where: Velvet, 21 Gordan Street, Sorell

When: Between 8.30 and 9.30am every Wednesday
