Everyone Counts: Census Support for People Living with Disability -11 August 2026

The 2026 Australian Census will be held on Tuesday, 11 August 2026. Every person in Australia is required to be counted on Census night, including children, visitors, international students and temporary visa holders

It provides important data that helps governments, businesses and community organisations plan and deliver services, infrastructure and support for local communities across the country.

There are lots of ways to fill out the Census – online, on paper or with help from the Census team.

To help ensure everyone can participate, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) provides a range of supports for people living with disability and those who may need extra assistance completing their Census form.
