Australian Youth Representative to the United Nations 2026: Applications open! 

 

Do you know a young Tasmanian ready to present Australian youth issues on an international stage? Appointed annually by UN Youth Australia and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Youth Representative listens to young people across the country and ensures their experiences, priorities and ideas reach national and international decision-makers.

The Youth Representative travels across Australia to hold consultations in schools, youth groups and community spaces, and meets with parliamentarians, government representatives, community organisations, business leaders and youth sector stakeholders to advocate for youth-informed policy. They will attend the United Nations General Assembly in New York, including delivering an address to the Third Committee.
