Tasmania’s Interim Commissioner for Children and Young People, Isabelle Crompton, is creating a new Youth Advisory Council for ages 12–17.
The Tasmanian Government is preparing a new action plan to keep children and young people safer in organisations and in their communities. A key part of this work will be about how the Government prevents and responds to child sexual abuse. We will be working with specialist organisations to ensure that young people’s participation is safe, and that appropriate supports are in place.
Members will:
✅ Provide their advice, feedback and expertise on issues that impact children and young people, including efforts to keep them safe from sexual abuse
✅ work on creative projects, plan group activities, and connect with other inspiring people
✅ Be recognised for contributions ($35/hr)
Applications close 21 Nov 2025.
