The City of Clarence has installed a new disability swim hoist at the Clarence Aquatic Centre, improving access for people of all abilities.
The hoist was funded by an $11,000 donation from the Rotary Club of Howrah and replaces an ageing, unfit unit.
This will enable greater participation in physical activity, supporting health, wellbeing, and rehabilitation (encouraged for use by carers, therapists, and health providers).
This provides first-time safe pool access for children with disability at the centre.
