Complaints in education
All education facilities should have a complaints process and welcome the opportunity to share it with you. Like many professionals in Tasmania, teachers must be registered with a professional body, and must work to a standard, and adhere to a code of ethics in their practice. Generally, when raising a complaint, you should contact a senior person from where the issue arose. If you are not happy with the response, you can then escalate your complaint to another person with a higher level of authority. If you think something illegal has occurred, you should report this to the police.
