Australian Football League (A.F.L.), Australian Rules football or Aussie Rules, is an outdoor ball sport played between two teams of 18 players. The game is played on an oval shaped grass field with an oval shaped ball. Players kick and handball the ball along the field to try and score a goal or a point by kicking the ball between the goalposts. There are Australian Football League teams for both men and women and junior programs, called Auskick. Australian Football League Tasmania is committed to ensuring people of all ages, and varying abilities, have the opportunity to be part of Australian Football League around Tasmania.
