Everyone should have the right to participate in recreational activities and enjoy the enhancements to health and wellbeing as a result. Some Tasmanian councils have provided accessible recreation facilities in parks and playgrounds. Select national parks also provide access-friendly tracks and all terrain wheelchairs (make sure you book in advance to hire one of these).

They are also accessible using The Master Locksmiths Access Key (M.L.A.K.) key system, which allows people with disability to buy a key that will give access to toilets, playground equipment and other facilities across Australia.
