If you have an N.D.I.S. plan, you may be able to receive assistance to participate in sports. The N.D.I.S. will only fund goods and services to assist you to participate in sports if you have listed sporting activities in your planned goals. Think about what sport you would like to get involved in, and what you will need to participate. The type of support you may be offered includes assistive technology, transport or additional support, such as support workers to come with you. The N.D.I.S. will not fund base level costs for participation (for example, club membership fees), however government concessions are available to assist with these expenses.
